The newly wed couple arrived at their reception in the O.Henry London Taxi.

After a beautiful proposal on Murray Street in Charleston, South Carolina, Jade and David Murray were on the search for a wedding venue that would compliment their Southern style and fun personalities.  Following a wedding ceremony at First Lutheran Church in Greensboro, the bride and groom hosted a cocktail hour in the Pavilion and Cloister Garden, followed by a heavy hors d’oeuvre reception in the Caldwell Ballroom at O. Henry Hotel.  175 guests enjoyed a simply elegant and understated evening with family and friends.  Jade was so excited to compliment the rich colors of the Caldwell Room by accenting her wedding with touches of soft ivory and taupe linen, fawn bridesmaid dresses, and a pop of color with coral bouquets and bridesmaids shoes.

The Strictly Business Band was the life of the party covering old and new songs.

The bride and groom brought in a Photo Booth for the guests to have some fun. The photos also doubled as a creative guest book!

The wedding reception menu included hors d’oeuvres, pasta station and carving station:

  • Seasoned chicken skewers with charmoula sauce
  • Warm crab & spinach dip, served with crostini and crusty bread
  • Grilled marinated vegetable display, chilled and served with a balsamic dip and a harissa aioli
  • Fresh fruit display with a variety of seasonal fruit, garnished with berries served with dark chocolate dipping sauce
  • Tart of baby spinach & boursin cheese
  • Caramelized onion, Sun-dried Tomato & Goat Cheese Tart
  • Pasta Station served with Penne and Linguine Pasta, Marinara and Alfredo Sauces. Served with Italian Sausage, Roasted Chicken, Mushrooms, Garlic, Fresh Herbs and Parmesan Cheese
  • Carving Station with Herb Rubbed Top Round of Beef served with Creamy Horseradish, Dijon Mustard and Herb Mayonnaise with Brioche Rolls
